I’m running Windows 10, and everything is up to date.Įdit - I should mention, it recognizes my default comms device (set in windows as my headset), and voice chat works just fine (most of the time, sometimes it just cuts out completely and I can’t hear anyone or talk, but my headset still works just fine in other programs). I’ve set the sound to mono, stereo, surround sound, tried piping all sound through my headphones through windows, tried a third party audio manager. I’ve reinstalled the game multiple times, installed to different hard drives, reinstalled the drivers for my headset, tried a different headset, tried just using earphones in my audio out jack. On top of all of that, I’m not getting any directional sound or auditory alerts for ultimates.

In every other blizzard game I have (WoW, D3, SC2, HotS) my headset shows up in the Playback Device options, and I can choose to have all the sound from that game go through my headphones without having to manually switch all the sound running through my computer to my headphones through windows. Ever since I first picked up Overwatch, I’ve never been able to get the in game sound to go exclusively through my headset (Plantronics GameCom 780).
